A workshare is a complete merge-mining proof carried by a Kronex block: the parent-chain header, the coinbase transaction that commits to Kronex, and the Merkle path binding one to the other. Because the proof is self-contained, anyone can verify it from the data it carries, and it cannot be forged more cheaply than the hashrate it claims.

Identity and difficulty

Every workshare has a canonical identity, its workshareId, and an achieved difficulty derived from its hash.
shareDifficulty is the achieved proof-of-work difficulty of that share, rendered as a fixed-12 decimal string. It is not the threshold the network was asking for, and it is not a hex quantity.

Durable history

The workshare history an explorer indexes is served from immutable snapshots with reorg-checked cursors, and it is bound to canonical blocks only. Its result and error shapes are frozen by contract, so an indexer built against it does not break under a version bump. Start from krnx_getWorkshareCapabilities, which reports whether the API is enabled, the canonical history anchors, the frozen limits and the parent-chain mappings. Getting paid

Workshares in a block share the reward pool with the sealer and any uncles. To confirm that a specific share was credited, call krnx_getWorkshareReward with the workshareId recorded at submit time, or with the pair powId and powHash. The reward itself is computed from a curve that is configured per parent chain — see Rewards.
